Valeria Rios is a Venezuelan-born ceramic artist raised in South Florida. She earned her Bachelors degree in Art at Florida International University.

Rios is drawn to the process of hand-building and the unpredictability it invites. Guided by intuition and a practice of detachment from outcome, she allows each piece to evolve organically, embracing the idea that no two works are ever the same. Her forms explore the balance between traditional shapes and the natural imperfections inherent in working by hand.
